And, yes, the st...Thanks to everyone for the input! And, yes, the story is a bit unrealistic, thanks for helping me realize that. The reason I had the man give the speech, while dying, was because it would have taken more writing & plot to explain how the rescuer would have saved the girl & gotten the speech out of the to be shot man (for presumably the evil man would have held the girl as hostage, if he wasn't shot by surprise). If that makes sense? But it's definitely a good point - so thanks.mariposahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17444470068238843739noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6960463844716320055.post-62951067456036232202008-09-01T11:01:00.000-04:002008-09-01T11:01:00.000-04:00I thought that was really well written and I like ...I thought that was really well written and I like the fact that the dying man says all that in his last moments. I agree with glass mannequin in that it does seem a little odd, but it's written just like all the great dying speeches...while the eloquizer is dying!!!Scouthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03885834631075827058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6960463844716320055.post-9177646028226394492008-08-31T20:54:00.000-04:002008-08-31T20:54:00.000-04:00It's cute, but powerful. I don't disagree with anything you did or said right there, though I would have ordered the events slightly differently. Very well done.

If I could be so bold as to make a comment, I would say that it would have made more sense to put the dying man's monologue before his being shot. It seemed odd that the man who's literally a breath from dead can manage to make such an eloquent exit.

Did you get my e-mail?
